A massive well done, to all the children who represented Southern Road Primary School at the handball tournament on Tuesday 1st March. There were approximately 10 other schools from all over Newham competing for the 2016 Handball trophy.
Both teams of 6 put in an exhilarating and energetic display to prove just how far they have come from complete handball amateurs to near professionals in only one year. They showed courage, perseverance and solid teamwork throughout.
Southern road managed to finish top of their group, moving onto the semi-final stages with ease. It was at this point that hearts were broken as they narrowly missed out on the final in a close fought battle with Scott Wilkie.
Well done to the Handball stars of the future!!
