Olympic hero surprises year 4

Southern Road Primary School were treated to an extra special surprise on 24th November when Olympic medallist Aimee Willmott took time out of her heavy training schedule to give an inspiring talk to the children of Year 4. For many children, this was the first opportunity to meet somebody famous and they were captivated by her every word.   Aimee spoke candidly about her inspirations, achievements and how her dedication helped her achieve her lifetime goal.

The children had dozens of questions for their new found hero and Aimee fantastically had time for many of them.   After the compelling assembly came to an end, Aimee spent some time meeting children in the playground, even signing the odd autograph here and there.

The visit was a complete success, now the children can use Aimee for inspiration in achieving their own dreams for the future!!
